Overall opinions, This is definitely both a fun and engaging educational game and the style reminds alot of the game Presentable Liberty cause of the sound effects but what it made me feel about it.

Its not the same obviously but the thought provoking side makes itself presentable with a clever use of the game mechanics as games like these my first thought was to randomly pick any decision and see where it gets me

The fact it builds up with each decision becoming a serious balancing act between health, money and social status. I manage to play it thru and died 3 times but i got the jitz of it its surprisingly good considering there isnt much animation other than the beautiful simplistic art style reminiscing games like One Chance. This game could have been a psychological horror game if given enough context and work on it but who knows what your team will come up with in future.

Final thoughts

1. Art - Love the style for pixel art its not too much and not too dull although the chicken in the main menu reminds me of stardew valley but almost every paper and interaction is bright, vibrant makes it deceiving funny how much we minimise serious situation by laughing things off since its better than bothering people about our own problems.

2. Mechanics - The fact that this game barely has any animation but it got me thinking and reflecting with each choices i made. This itself makes it apparent your team has manage to bypass the challenge of complicating gameplay mechanics and  work towards telling a good story making it natural with the gameplay. The term gamifying life itself isnt a foreign concept but your team pull it off kuddos.

3. Overall critiques - For now i dont have alot of gripes since its a game jam game and its expected that these are concept games but one thing is gameplay wise the repetitive dialogue may become a put off since it lead me to click the same specific choices over and over and desensitizing the point of education of the game where i ended skipping few times and forgetting to actually read any of the new documents that appear. However this is more a personal issue as i could suck at the game as well.

All the best to your team's next endeavors
